A small number of clients. A consistent standard of care.

We work with internationally based families, private individuals, and the advisors and family office teams who support them — across property, investment, and governance interests in New Zealand.

Our clients share a common need: New Zealand interests that require considered, accountable oversight from someone on the ground — and a trusted point of contact who understands their objectives and exercises independent judgement on their behalf.

Our clients include

Ultra-high-net-worth families and private individuals with residential, lifestyle, or investment assets in New Zealand. Family offices and private investment offices managing New Zealand interests on behalf of principals. Clients navigating the Active Investor Plus visa pathway who require in-country support throughout the establishment process. Internationally based individuals with board, advisory, or governance obligations in New Zealand who benefit from trusted local representation.

What our clients value

Clients who work well with us tend to share certain priorities. Discretion is fundamental — they are not looking for public profiles or transactional relationships. They think in decades, not transactions, and they want a local presence that reflects that orientation. They value alignment across their advisors and want confidence that practical matters are handled properly in their absence — without needing to ask.

How clients find us

We are typically introduced through private client advisors, legal and tax professionals, family office networks, and existing clients, from both within New Zealand and abroad. Most introductions are made on the basis of a specific and immediate need, with the relationship developing from there.

We work alongside these advisors, not in place of them, providing local coordination, practical oversight and independent owner-side judgement in New Zealand.

A deliberately limited practice

We limit the number of engagements we take on. That is a deliberate choice — direct senior involvement, consistency of approach, and trusted long-term relationships are not compatible with volume.

If an introduction has been made on your behalf, or you are considering whether HCNZ might be relevant to your circumstances, we are happy to have a private conversation.
